National holidays are different everywhere
in the world and risk catching travelers unaware. It's annoying to wake
up one morning only to find all the banks, grocery stores, gas stations
and post offices unexpectedly closed just when you need their services
most. To help you plan your stay we list the national holidays in Spain
and Catalunya. On these days offices, banks and many shops close, though
many restaurants, bars and attractions, such as museums or other sights,
stay open.

Sunday
Keep in mind that Sunday is a sacred non-working day. Some small food

restaurants and café/bars will mostly stay open. Please bear in
mind that the staff at your house may take Sundays off too. Your Local
Host will confirm this with you.
